Strategic Advisory for Ports, Logistics, Industrial Infrastructure & Energy Transition

Portus advises governments, port authorities, investors and industrial groups on ports, logistics, industrial infrastructure and energy. The work usually begins before a project has a fixed shape, when the questions are still about what to build and who should own it.

A Word From Our Founder

Why I started Portus

I spent more than thirty years running port and infrastructure organisations. I founded Portus so that the experience would be available to the people now holding those decisions.

In my experience the analysis is rarely the hard part. The hard part is knowing how an institution really arrives at a decision, what a financing structure will look like once the lawyers have finished with it, and how a terminal behaves on its first working day.

Ports, logistics, industry and energy used to be separate conversations. They are not any more, and the choices being made now will sit on regional economies for a generation.

Discover the Founder

A port decided badly is expensive for thirty years.

Portus works with public and private decision makers on the choices that set how ports, corridors, industry and energy systems develop. Much of the value is in knowing which questions have to be settled first.
