Talk & Taste Dakar: Portus on economic and cultural cooperation between Senegal and Morocco
The 24th edition, held at the Phare des Mamelles on 15 December 2022, examined the sectors and success factors linking the two countries.

The 24th edition of Talk & Taste was held on Thursday 15 December 2022 at the Phare des Mamelles in Dakar, on the theme of economic and cultural development between Senegal and Morocco: sectors, actors and key success factors.
Youssef Imghi joined the panel to set out his view of how the two economies can be brought closer together.
Ports as the link between two economies
Drawing on his experience of port, maritime and logistics infrastructure, he argued that ports are central to both trade and tourism between the two countries — the physical interface through which any deepening of the relationship has to pass.
He also set out where Portus contributes: supporting the construction and development of port works, and the strategic studies that surround transport, logistics and energy.
Cooperation as a practical agenda
The discussion covered how much room there is for cooperation between Senegal and Morocco, and how much of it depends on partnerships holding rather than on declarations. Portus takes part in these exchanges because economic cooperation between African countries is part of what the firm is for.
